Taxes
Do you all realize that none of the income tax preparing offices can keep your t4 slips if you decide you want to go somewhere else? (especially at this time where only 1 company in particular will still give you cash back same day!) Photo copies are not an acceptable choice as none of the other income tax firms can file your taxes with another company holding your originals. If you are in this situation and want your original t4 slips back, just inform whomever is at the front desk that you know the law and your rights and they have to give them back. I did mine on Feb 21 and filed it over the phone. I got my money deposited into my account on March 5th. It only took 12 days to get it back, and it cost me nothing to do it. my husbands cheque arrived March 7th in the mail.

My mom did hers the same time, and she got her cheque march 7th also.
