well kaj27! where are you vacationing....Rockwood park? Just joking there but I myself do need a car and Yes I do have the right to drive. It is not a luxury item only, for me, if that is what you feel. I have my truck for my business and my husband has his van for his. I do drive my suzuki when I'm not working because it is so much easier on gas and is completely paid for. So for us when gas takes a drop we are saving alot of money. Enjoy your vacation. By the way how are you getting around on your vacation?

I never said I don't drive. I said I do drive. No one 'needs' to drive when they live within the city limits. But I do drive. It's part of my budget, I worked in fuel, repairs and all that fun stuff.

Driving is NOT a right it is a privilege given to us by automakers and the government. I never said anything about luxury.

I am driving around for my vacation, I took my car and drove.

And to the above poster, no you cannot get a $5 meal anymore at McDonald's. They were removed from the Menu in Saint John. We can all thank the cheap owner for that one. Travel to Sussex and it's still there.

Those are smalls, McDonald's sells their meals with medium. You can get the full meals at any other McDonald's except here in Saint John.

Make your own burger!

There I've posted a msg just like everyone else, now complain about it.!! :

BTW: Gas dropped a few more cents. It's 125.9-126.9 in some places between SJ and FRED.

Kaj, I used to live in Lorneville, which is within city limits, and if you plan on working (especially if it isn't a 9-5 job), or going to community college/ university, a car is pretty much necessary, unless you work/go to school with your neighbour and you have the exact same schedule, because nobody wants to drive out of their way to pick you up. I had this problem last year as I didn't have a car and I was attending community college. I had a post on here, and the only person that replied wanted over $25/week, and they would only be able to drive me home 2 days per week! I was lucky that my mom worked uptown and I was able to catch a bus to school from there. There is a city bus sometimes, it comes at 6:30 am and 6:30 pm..thats it..and if you miss it you're out of luck because to cab home it is $18! You are right that driving isn't a right, but for some it is necessary. BTW..this forum is so off topic!! It was supposed to be about gas going down..not a debate over if if driving is a right or if you can get a meal at McDonald's for under $5..LOL
