Airlines

Does anyone know what the breakdown is for sunwing on there taxes ? I looked the other day I don't even remember where to but it was 185.00
return and the taxes were 298.00 gimmie a break can you say crooks ? I could find no place on the webside to break it out.......

I swear to god I don't know how Canadian airlines stay in business, I just cam back 2 weeks ago from Orlando flew out of Bangor for a little over 400.00 return for 2 and the best price I could get from a Canadian airline was 1400.00 from westjet, Air Canada wanted something like 2700.00. Of the 150 people on the flight we took I would say over 70 percent were Canadians.

Wake up Canadian Airlines we just want to ride on the plane not buy it !!!!!

Oh BTW if planning on going to Orlando unless you like the heat don't go in May it was 95 degrees everyday !!!!!!!!

This is not about the airline, it's about the govermnent and the stupid airport improvement fees. There are a ton of "taxes" that the Canadian airlines are forced to charge by the govt...it IS ridiculous.
Arpt improvemnt fees are now charged by almost every airport in Canada, no matter how small and puny, and most are now $20 !! Even having a transit stop in Toronto tacks on a fee (and try flying anywhere good without a cnx in Toronto!) AC doesn't see any of these fees, just forced to collect it as most of them are ticketable. I think the AIF's and NAv Can and all the other stupid fees should have seperate kiosks at the arpt so people can stop blaming AC and start seeing the truth..that everyone has thir hand out, nickel and diming you.

In the US< there are zero AIF's.
In the US, the airlines have gotten subsidies to compensate for hard times, high price of fuel, etc. Canada, not so much.
Fuel prices have almost doubled but fare is almost the same.

The US also forces US taxes to be ticketable on Canadian airline tickets where they are entering the states, for security , passenger facility charge, etc. I guess they consider transborder flts more of a risk...

So, if you think the fare is reasonable not withstanding the taxes and fees, it is not the airlines fault..they don't see a penny of that.
