Xbox 360

Just wondering what kind of problems people have experienced with their Xbox 360. I purchased one for my son last year for a birthday/Easter present. After a month, we encountered one problem after another and after contacting xbox support, it was sent back. The problem couldn't be corrected so they send me a different one. Yesterday, my son encountered the "flashing ring of lights", ugggggg. I have contacted xbox support once again, but haven't heard back as of yet. I know they extended the warrenty to 3 years for this problem. Has anyone else been thru this???? And was your console sent back????

This happened to me. The "three rings of death" is a problem a lot of people have experienced. Call support and let them know, they will send a box and a pre-paid label and send you a new 360 in the mail.

If it was modded in any way the warranty will be voided.

The most common issue with the 360 is the red ring of death. The fail rate for the 360 was 30% and now I guess down to 16%. The PS3 and Wii have less than 1% failure rate. Now if you sent your in for "repairs" keep in mind that most of the time you will not get the same 360 back. Either these 2 things will happen. Either you get a refurbished one back or you get a cheque in the mail. I know some people have been lucky and to this day have their launch 360 problem free. I read that unfortunately due to microsoft eagerness to beat sony, they sacrificed quality and rushed the 360 before performing any thorough testing. The design of the 360 will unfortunately cause the system to break. Don't take my word for it. Google Red Ring of Death.

I remember reading all that before he had the problem with his. According to the rep when I called, "Canada only offers and exchange". Well at this point, I just want one that works. I mean 2 major repairs in 10 months I think is a little bit nuts, lol.
