How would you like to heat your home for very little money this year? There is a fuel oil called "biodiesel" that can be made quite cheaply from waste restaurant fryer oil. You may have heard about the guy, somewhere in New Brunswick, that makes the stuff and runs his car on it. Well, you can also use it to run your oil furnace. Basically, you collect waste vegtable oil from restaurants and process it to produce biodiesel heating oil. If you make it yourself, its very cheap, about 20 cents a liter, compared with 70 cents plus HST for conventional furnace oil.
I'm looking for a few people with high heating bills (oil), a location for equipment (say, about 300 square feet), some technical help and people to split the costs of the project based on how much oil they take for themselves. Personally, I could use about 5000 liters a year. My own oil bill this year was about $6,000. The link below shows how easy it is to build one of these processing plants.
