Kenmore Electric Range – free… needs work

• OK… its like this… this rig has coil burners, convection oven and self cleaning. It seems to work fine and you can set the temperature, clock, etc… but shortly after the oven start to head up, if flashes “F2” on the screen which indicates either a bad oven temp sensor OR bad circuit board. I checked the resistance of the temperature sensor and it was about 1020 ohms at room temp which I think is in spec… therefore I suspect it is a bad circuit board. I have the owners manual. My plan was to watch cleanup days for a similar machine and get a circuit board out of it… but have lost interest. I don’t simply want to put it at the curb because someone will cut the cord off it for the copper in about 2 minutes… eliminating the chance of it ever being used again. One more thing… the outer glass is broken but it is a very common size and I would expect no trouble finding one during clean up days. The circuit board will be more difficult.

I don’t want any money for it…. I just want to try to keep it out the land fill…
