Things to be grateful for...

As 2008 ends, it usually has many of us reflecting upon the last year. Some with smiles, some with heart ache....but through it all, we have survived, grown & flourished.

I think it would be nice if we could take a minute, and say what we are thankful for.

  • My family & friends, making it through another year..
  • My Dad's new found health & happiness
  • Living in a country where I have the freedom to live & pray.

I'm grateful that my children have every thing they need, and a lot of what they want.
I'm grateful to live where I do, this is a relatively peaceful city and I'm grateful that we don't have armed soldiers standing at every corner. (because we don't need to.)
I'm grateful to watch my children grow, and learn. To be able to see them so proud of their every accomplishment is nothing short of bliss. It's truly a blessing in itself.
I'm also grateful to have such an understanding, compassionate and honest husband (who's also got a wicked sense of humor.)
I guess I'm just grateful to be me. I have it pretty good and know a lot of people who really don't.

I'm grateful for our kids and grandkids...they're all doing well..
I thank God every day for sparing my husband...he had a masssive heart attack and subsequent by-pass surgery last month..and I will be eternally grateful for the wonderful cardiac care unit we have here.
I'm thankful that we're both retired now and don't have to battle the elements if we don't want to...
Our neighbours and their children have been so good shovelling us out.
All in all we consider ourselves to be blessed.

I am very Thankful that my son and his girlfriend, and friends were not killed in the car accident thay had on Wednesday down in Welsford. They are very lucky, they are bruised up and a few broken bones, but other than that they are fine. That is the best gift I could ask for. I am very Thankful for all my family and that they are safe.

I am so grateful for;
my friend was able to get to spend Christmas with her family
I was able to spend Christmas with my children
my mom, although in hospital, still was able to enjoy Christmas
my children and family are all well
my cats are content (feel bad that I lost 3 of them this year)
I have a roof over my head and food on my table
my wonderful friends who always seem to know just when I need a call
for all of my webfriends here on isj, I appreciate each and every one of you
the beauty in the smallest things every day
life and all it has to offer, good or bad.

As this year 2008 comes to an end with all of it's ups and downs, there'll never be another one like it.
Let's welcome the new year and all of it's joys and sorrows yet to come. May we have more of the joys and less of the sorrows.
