I do not like the ale house at all! I have been there twice and find you pay way to much for the amount of food and the service was not very good. One time I went I left the tip at the table then went to the front to pay and the guy tried to keep my 5$ change! I was not impressed.

My parents, grandsons and I went to the restaurant on the highway going east(since I cant mention names) for Thanksgiving. Never again. I could not even eat it, turkey was like leather, with bones in it, whole plate was tasteless and very cold. Rolls with dinner were stale and cold. I had to ask for more gravy and when I did get that it was burnt tasting. So I opted to try my desert, Lemon pie and it also was horrible. I left most all of a plateful of dinner plus desert and the waitress did not even ask if there was a problem. I don't know who is running that place now but I will never go back. My parents meal was the same so it was not just me being fussy. I could not believe it as that was a great place as far as getting what you pay for and lots of it, with great taste. Is there anyone else that has seen a big change also?????

Try Big Tide Brewing, across from O'leary's on princess. Interesting menu and good beer (to a layman like me, pinhed probably wouldn't like it) The grouchy guy from tapp's is one of the principals, but that's ok as long as they keep him away from the customers. ;-)

Yes. I used to go every month or two, its been about 6 since I was there last and I don't feel the need to go back any time soon, even though I drive right by there twice a week and am usually hungry when I do, but I skip them now and go for a drive through in Quispamsis or the Superstore deli.
I've been to every restaurant (not including pub eating places)in the city except Boilerworks, the Drake, Sahara, and Jakes Steakhouse although I have every intention of trying them when the chance arises. I eat out a lot more than the average person because that is my entertainment of choice. I'm more than willing to share my personal experience with any particular place by PM-good, bad, what to look for-since otherwise this could go on for pages.

Bob's in awesome. I have a family of 6 and we can all get a meal plus drinks for $35 bucks. You can't beat that. For example a poutine is under $3 or shrimp and fries are under $4 just to name a few. I think Bob's has to be one of the oldest restaurants in this city, if not the oldest.

It is on the West Side on Catherwood. I've only eaten there once but it was really good.
