swimmers itch in dogs

Just wondering if anyone has heard of swimmers itch in dogs. Took the girl to Cassidy Lake for a dip, all of a minute for her and now she has nodules all on her trunk and back. I know there are ducks in the lake in that area and she has other allergy problems. Is there any treatment for this itch. I bathed her and gave her benadryl but the itching is constant. thanks

yes i've heard of it.. thankfully my dogs haven't gotten it yet.... I have.. the best thing you can do is to try to get them not to scratch.. maybe put zinc cream on them
