Help!!!

OK, here's my concern. I recently started taking my little dog to the dog park. He really hasn't been around too many dogs before. He spends his time at the park growling at every dog that approaches him. He is very friendly with the other owners however he just acts PO'ed around the dogs. My hubby thinks he needs therapy.LOL (my dog, not my hubby. LOL) Should I give up on the park or keep going in the hope that my dog will curb his "anger" issue?

He is afraid. Sometimes larger dogs can upset them. My opinion would to be trying him with smaller dogs in different area.
he is still earning how to be around other dogs..it can be a very frightening experience.

I have a terrier-shihtsu mix. I've had her since she left her Momma and we have a shepherd plus 2 cats. My little one is completely at ease with our large dog and cats. However when you take her out if she sees any other animals she howls like a hound dog!!Shes terrified of other dogs and cats to the point when she sees her reflection in our patio doors she freaks out. We also cant figure out her behavior since shes been raised with other animals big and small!

I take him in the area with the small dogs as he is small himself. He goes in the area fine, it's almost like he wants to play, but strictly on his own terms. He doesn't play, he just growls when the other dogs try to sniff him. He has even gone so far as to snap.(he doesn't bite, it's kinda like a back off air snap)
So I should keep taking him to the park? How can I make it a bit easier for him? (or can I make it easier?)

mybooboo, there was a ****z-su at the park that wanted to play with my little guy. This little guy bugged my little guy unmercifully. At times it almost looked like my guy was going to "play chase", but he would catch himself and go into his PO'ed mode.

With my girl I know she wont bite so I keep bringing her around other pets. My daughters boyfriend has a dog also and I get him to bring it over. At first Chloe isnt impressed but she is fine after awhile! Im too stubborn to give up because I dont want her fear to become hate!
