The City of Saint John, the Town of Rothesay and the Town of Quispmasis present WinterFest

Friday, February 20th to Sunday, February 22nd, 2009
Join us as we celebrate winter in the communities of Quispamsis, Rothesay and Saint John.

Friday, February 20th, Saint John @ Rockwood Park
Activities begin at 6:00 p.m.
Olympic Torch Display
Pavilion will be open all day with Lily’s Café serving from their menu
Public skating under the lights with music
6:00-7:30 p.m.-Family karaoke Wallace MacMurray Room
6:30-8:00 p.m.-Cat in the Hat visit
7:30-11:00 p.m.-Live entertainment (Zany Lane) for the whole family
6:00-7:30.p.m.- Free Community Trolley Rides
7:30 p.m.-Moonlight Nordic Hike
6:00-8:00 p.m.- Free snow shoes and cross country skis
Canteen & Licensed Café open

Saturday, February 21st, Rothesay
Activities begin at 1:00p.m.
Olympic Torch display
1:00-3:00 p.m.- Ice fishing lessons at Renforth Wharf courtesy of Renforth Ice Fishing Association
1:00-3:00 p.m.-Free snow shoes and cross country skis at the Renforth Wharf
1:00-2:00 p.m.- Cat in the Hat visit
2:00-3:30 p.m.- Horse-drawn trolley rides at the Bill McGuire Centre
4:30-6:00 p.m.- Community Swim at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre
8:00– 12:00 a.m. -Lily Lake Pavilion- Las Vegas Casino, auction and
entertainment with a special appearance by "Elvis”
Tickets $20.00 each includes $20,000 casino bucks
Tickets available Lily Lake Pavilion and Benjamin’s Books
(Host-Touchstone Community School w/Knights of Columbus).

Sunday, February 22nd, Quispamsis
Activities begin at 2:00PM
Olympic Torch display
2:00 -2:30 p.m. -Snow Bath High School Challenge - Arts & Culture Park
Bring your friends! Special spot to warm up in.
2:00-3:30 p.m. - Community Skate - Arts & Culture Park
2:00 - 3:00 p.m. - Live family entertainment (Bigg Medicine) - Arts & Culture Park
2:00-3:30 p.m.- Free hot chocolate & sweet treats - Arts & Culture Park
2:00-3:30 p.m. - Cat in the Hat visit - Arts & Culture Park
4:00-5:00 p.m.- Family Sliding Party -Recreation Centre
4:00-5:00 p.m.—Cat in the Hat visit - Recreation Centre
4:00-5:00 p.m. - Free hotdog roast - Recreation Centre

*All events are free-of-charge except the Casino which is a community fundraiser
