International Women’s Day

Strong Woman Campaign 2009

Strong Leadership + Strong Women + Strong World = Equality

LET THE NOMINATIONS BEGIN!

Do you know a strong woman whose leadership deserves to be acknowledged? Why not take this opportunity to celebrate a woman whose leadership role may otherwise go unrecognized; a woman who demonstrates the traits inherent in leadership by contributing to the betterment of her family or community.

This year’s theme for International Women’s Day recognizes the importance of women in all their leadership roles as being critical to creating a world that both values and reflects equality. We encourage you to think outside the box when considering who might be deserving of this special recognition.

Please submit names to strongwomancampaign@hotmail.com or 632-5659 along with a brief description (100 words or less) telling us why you believe your nominee deserves to be publicly recognized as a strong woman. Please include a contact phone number for yourself, your nominee, or both.

On March 4th, 2009, five nominees will be randomly drawn. Those selected will be recognized at the March 7th celebration brunch sponsored by the Canadian Federation of University Women – Saint John Club. The five women will be given two free tickets to attend the brunch where they will receive a token of acknowledgement and appreciation for their leadership efforts.

ALL REMAINING NOMINEES ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND
