ok with my comtrend 301. i was hitting 4.5mb/sec now that i upgraded to a speedstream, i'm hitting 2.9mb/sec, any ideas how i can get my fast speeds back? settings or anything? maybe tweaks? PM me if ya dont want to repost thanks.

Get rid of the POS Speedstream :P I have one of these somedays I feel like smashing it to pieces... I think I will switch back to the comtrend.

I wonder if there's a firmware upgrade for the speedstream?
Maybe that's what mine needs...
Some nights I have to reboot it multiple times in order to get my wireless adapter to connect...

thanks dan for your input, i made up my mind :)
i plug in the comtrend and get 3.9mb/sec then i plug in the speedstream and it drops to 2.7mb/sec. think i will keep the comtrend and return the other.
my comtrend test results:
4.3 megabits per second
Communications 4.3 megabits per second
Storage 530.8 kilobytes per second
1MB file download 1.9 seconds
Subjective rating Awesome

I did smash mine now i have black tape to hold it back together
i have 2 comtrend boxes but to go back to using one i need a router
so wife can use internet too

i had both plugged in side by side and i would plug one in then reboot, then do a speed test, and i would also do it to the other, the comtrend was double the speedstream speed everytime.

doing a speed test with a site called speakeasy
the best i can get from my speedsteem is 5169kbps
