Diabetic Cat

Does anyone else have an older cat with diabetes? Or did they ever have one with it? Any pointers about injections, vet bills, cats symptoms and behavior? etc.

I used to house sit for a woman who's cat was diabetic. I had to give it an insulin injection every morning. She was a great cat, and the injections weren't so bad. She got used to the injections. I remember once she had an episode- we had to give her some honey to fix her up. She lived a long and happy life!

Thank you for your replies. I am a bit nervous about the whole thing. Today I thought the insulin went in and then her fur was wet. Guess it was wasted. Two other times were successful though. Hoping tomorrow will be more on the mark.
