I am going on maternity leave soon and I am trying to figure out my income. I know that everyone gets $100 for a child under 6 however I am wondering how much family allowance is. Does anyone know how it works based on your income for one child???

It is based on income. Last year my cheques were about $98. and this year they are reduced to around $74 for one child. The higher your tax bracket the less you will get.

Do you get gst?It is based the same way.Calculated by your total family income.Everyone gets the $100.00 no matter what you make.

I get 100 for My son being under one and then i get 2 something don't know the exact amount but I know when the deposit both amounts on the 20th of the month i get 402 something all together and that is including the 100 bonus for having a child under 6. I also get the gst cheques every 3 months and i get 149 something. I am considered low income though.
