So far, it has been claimed that the fireworks were "doctored" for TV and that the little singing girl was not the actual girl who sang the song. In the words of an official, "The reason why little Yang was not chosen to appear was because we wanted to project the right image, we were thinking about what was best for the nation...".

I'm sure more information will be unearthed that this "amazing" show was not what you experienced. The Chinese government has little shame.

i read that last ngith and was dismayed. The little girl they showed lip sycning was a cutie and I remember thinking that...but I think the little one that sang it is also cute...and I do think they should have let the real singer go on...Shameful..more and more comes out....displacement of people etc..

Yeah, I thought the little girl they didn't allow on stage was cute too. I guess it was best for the nation, lol
