I just ordered a HIS Radeon X1950 Pro ICEQ3, right now the X1950PRO is properly the best bang for the buck. They have them on sale @ Future Shop for $249

check this sight out,

the X1950 pro did better in texture and pixel fill rate and lower in texture units and raster operations and I dont know enough about video cards to know what it all means visually

x1950 is the best
x1600's and x1300's have been floating around. could probally get one off ebay pretty cheap, not the x1950 but one of the other 2. I bought 3 ati 1300's off this site a while ago really cheap.

This will let you know how cards rate to one another

personally I like the X1950 cards...

An X850XT is hard to beat....

So is the X1950pro much different visually and performance wise than my X850XT and what should I be looking at in the Nvidia line which is a step up from the X850XT without breaking the bank? Thanks

For Nvidia you havethe 7900GT or GS and the 7950GT to pick from to name a few... the 7950 will take a little bigger bit out your wallet then than 7900's, I'm a AMD/ATI guy so I dont know a lot about the Nvidia's

So Dynamic,do you think the change from my X850XT to the X1950Pro is worth doing ,the sight you sent me where u can compare cards side by side showed my card strong in some areas and the x1950pro strong in some areas.I would not upgrade to it unless there was some substantial difference in visual quality and speed .Your opinion is greatly appreciated. Thanks

To Out-preform your current video card you will need

at least 7800GT or better and 256 bit with gddr3 ram..

the thing now is what do you want to pay?

your not going to find too much to do this in the $200 price range..

you're more likely to going to shell out roughly $300+ for something like this

biggest advantage would be pixel shader 3.0

my question is what are you playing that you need that

high of graphics card... X850XT should play anything you throw

at it... a lot of video cards are dependant upon cpu and ram

what do you have for a cpu and ram?

also is your systen tuned and tweaked... to get the most performance?

it makes a difference if your O/S is being a resource hog....

aka norton takes so much memory check the system to see

how it's using... let me know ..........
