buying appliances in the US

Has anybody bought washer & dryer etc. in the US? Prices I've seen are alot cheaper at Home Depot or Sears for example...

Sure, but you will have to have them certified for CSA standards..and also check as some companies will NOT warrantee them if yo buy them cross border.

also check with your insurance, if an electrical appliance is not CSA approved and it burns your house down, you are not covered!
