i have 2 computers,i want to take 1 hardrive out of one computer and put it in the other and take the other one and put it in the other computer . but when i did that it wouldnt load,, am i supposed to format it or something. i dont know what to do

When your operating systems were installed, the drivers required for the hard drive and motherboard components (sound/video/peripherals) is installed as well. Unless the hardware is identical, you cannot simply take one HD out of one PC and put it in the other one. Your choices are to do a repair- which will probably be more pain than it's worth) or a reinstall. If your PC has the ability to boot to CD-ROM, you don't need to format, you can do a reinstall and leave your OS intact, if you have data that you would like to save.
