What is Bump?

Why do people write bump? I finally am going to ask what it means. I just looked at someone advertising a 2 bedroom and no one wrote anything yet the person who posted the apartment has bump potsed 22 times, then someone asked a ?, then they wrote bump again, so now I am really curious as to what bump means.

They are replying thier post so it moves or "Bumps" up to the top of that topic again so people dont miss it.

It just means they have reposted or "bumped" the ad, nothing has changed in it, just letting people know its still available.

Oh ok, cuz this particular person kept posting bump even though there were no other posts. I thought maybe the bump was trying to "refresh" it, but when I saw the same person posting bump yet no other posts by other people I wondered if maybe I was wrong lol k thanks u 2 :) Confusion solved :)
