I entered for a chance to win a trip to florida online. I got a call today and they offered me 7 days 6 nites in orlando and 4 days 3 nites in daytona for 500.00 Has anyone else heard of this deal? They wil pay for a rental car for me from here to there and back unlimited milage, or they will give me 100.00 off each ticket airfare.
here is the website.
It seems legit, but I am hesitant to give out any credit card info without knowing for sure...

There have been quite a few stories on the news about these guys over the past while and I believe they are all scams..... I wouldnt give your credit card number out all if you dont want to get ripped off.

Do your research to the max...
you may find a better deal elsewhere as those telemarketers are soooo aggressive to sell to the desperate consumer.
Try surfing around these sites and use google to make your decision... you may find some happy consumers with them, but probably more that were unhappy. Don't give out your credit card number - you could get stung with hidden, non refundable costs.

If it's too good to be true it probably is. This is why ppl get scammd.. because they hand their credit card info over to unreliable sources. Just don't. Save your money for a little bit longer and plan a legit vacation.

I agree... That's why I didn't jump to do this. lol... I know that sometimes there are legit offers like these, so I was curious. Thanks!

Do you have any tips on how you managed to get out of the offer?
Hope they don't keep calling you.

I told him that my hubby had all the credit cards with him at work and that I would call him back if we were interested. I specifically told him I would not just rush out and spend money like that without looking into it and if it was legit he could give me a name and number to call back. After snooping online I found out all I needed to know about the company.. lol... SCAM! The guy called me back and asked if I had the credit card number ready and I told him sorry, my hubby told me if I did that he would divorce me, thanks anyways! lol... He seemed fine with that answer.

It's too bad they're scams. It would be nice to win a trip. I figure if you actually WON a trip, they wouldn't nickel and dime you for various other charges.

My dad entered to win a car in Georgia while on holiday. The second prize was a cruise. They called and told him he'd won the cruise. I asked them if there was airfare to Florida where the ship would pick him up. They said "sadly no". So it would have cost him two flights and probably nothing else was included. Not really a scam, but a crappy prize.

I figure if I'm gonna take a trip, it'll be on my terms and everything customized by me so there are no unwanted surprises :)

Cheers.

My parents won a cruise before but they couldn't go on it because they had me 2 days before the phone rang. Luckily they were allowed to take the money instead so they did that. Mind you that was back in 1985.

Interesting, I just had the same thing happen to me but it was a Ramada promotional deal. It sounded too good to be true so I backed out. They wanted me to pay close to $600 up front for a 4 day/3 night trip to FL with a 2 day/2 night cruise to the Bahamas. Of course they wouldn't pay for airfare, just the hotel stay and rental car. Sorry but they just shouldn't be trying to suck people into this type of thing especially this time of year. I told the guy sorry but I'll pass and he gave me a bunch of attitude and said "Well I guess I'll give away your trip to someone else". Oh you mean your next sucker right? Give me a break.

Sorry to hear that, but really, real companies do not give things away for free without you entering a contest in some way, a ballot at the mall, buying a ticket on a draw, saying yes to the clerk at Sobey's, selecting "I accept" on a web-based contest page etc. I believe it is actually against the regulations for you to be entered in a contest without your knowledge or consent, in case it violates your religious beliefs, you did not buy the product, you are not a citizen or in some other way do not qualify.
