While looking on the toyrus US website I noticed that all Bumbo seats were recalled. Were they recalled in Canada?

OMG that is nuts
FFS DUH! Why do we need to recall some products because some people are too stupid to know that you do not put it on a table, countertop or chair! OMG How stupid are people really???

Consumers advised to stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. The reason indicated is the risk of serious head injuries. If the seat is placed on a table, countertop, chair, or other elevated surface, young children can arch their backs, flip out of the Bumbo seat, and falling onto the floor.

If you are so stupid that you actually put a child at any height in one of these and leave them unattended then you are a complete moron and should have your child taken away.
Ok sorry I will go take my happy pills now...
*walks away shaking her head muttering stupid people*

Oh to answer you question Michelle I am not sure, I have been looking around and see no recalls for canada yet...But if u find out please let us know.

The way I understood it was that they recalled them so they could place warning stickers on the chairs about not leaving baby unattended etc.. and they would be back on the shelves. I noticed in Toys r us last week they were off the shelves, but not sure if that had anything to do with it or they just sold out??? not sure...they were still selling the trays for them.

I'm telling you....there are serious....I mean serious issues with some of those people that have children....the most basic....common sense thing seems out of reach for them....

Not to sound mean....but...these parents don't have the ability to raise a dog....they can't give medicine correctly....can't/don't secure children in car seats....leaving kids unattended (in dangerous places)....taking children to bars....leaving them with abusive people....Come on people

Yes Canadian ones were recalled as well. Did you know the warning includes not using it as a car seat? then again..... Maybe it needs that warning.

OMG Do you really need to be told not to use a bumbo as a freaking car seat??? MORONS!!!
Jeff Foxworthy said it best... "Here's your sign" Idiots!
Some people are too stupid to live, let alone be allowed to reproduce!!!!

MichelleM

so this one is more common sense than actual safety concern? that is what I had thought.

i totally agree with you mizunderstood!!!! Things like this infuriate me. There are sooooooooo many warnings on things now like on washer and dryers i guess they have.. do not let children play in them, and things like that.. I'm like.. ummmmmmm.. ok. I guess companies get sued because children get hurt or even killed.. so because of the stupidity of these ppl they have to put these warnings on to cover the companie's butts.
One of the MAIN things to know when you have babies is to NOT leave them unattended atop of things... why do they think they sleep behind bars? Even for things that babies can be strapped in (bouncy chairs) says you're not supposed to put them on tables and counters while baby is in it. SHEESH!!! lol

hey sarah,

a couple months ago I was in walmart buying a can of peanuts. The lineup was long so I was reading the label and it said "warning: this product may contain nuts."

I thought that funny for a while, then I thought to myself, what to they mean by 'MAY' contain nuts?

sarahnb

They were a fake peanut? And maybe came into contact with the real thing?

I love my BUMBO chair.. I read the warnings, and it looks like they are only putting out a recall because of neglect from parents. You can't use them for a babysitter.
