I think the ones that are not opened you would just return, assuming you have your receipt but what if they are opened and played with?

Ok, has anyone seriously read this article in this link. I would be packing this product up, opened or not, and taking it to Toysrus and speak to the manager and show him the article and the potential drugs that are in the toys and demand a refund asap. I would not dare leave them in my home, because kids are kids, you just never know.

that was what i told them when I called. As if I will be keeping it and storing it away. It is being taken off the shelves for a reason. They sold it to me so I will be taking it back and they will be giving me my money back.

Good for you. I would not take any BS from them either.

What do they want? A bunch of high sick children running around? Being as it is a children's store, I would make sure I was trotting back in there, and raising heck if they did not hand me my money back instantly.

I had called and they told me to put it away where they could not get it. NO, I don't think so. I am taking it back tonight. Why would I keep an unsafe toy in my home that they sold to me a couple weeks ago.

If you want information or you can fill out for a paid postage so you can send back the beads and they will send replacement ones.

Another recall?? Along with the fact that my chidren don't need any more toys for me to trip over and clean up, this is another reason I don't buy into Christmas binge shopping. I refuse to pay or overpay for toys that are cheaply made at high prices that either break soon after opening or I find out have a recall on them. I realize that companies want profit but at the sake of the health of my child and the children I take care of?? No.

I know I was raised in a generation that had houses painted with lead paint and I'm sure my toys had some kind of foreign chemicals on them and I turned out fine but now that we are aware of the risks I think it is crazy to take the chance. It's not just the companies to blame but we the consumers are also to blame. If we would stop giving into the pressures of buying toys that are fads just because Mr. Jones down the street bought it for his child and started demanding toys that are properly made and tested than we wouldn't be having these issues. We live in a materialistic world and companies know that. If they can put together a toy for a couple dollars and make you pay 3 times what its worth they will and they do. They know that we are willing to buy our children more toys than they need because we buy into commercialism. Instead we should be demanding toys made at high standards and quality but heaven forbid!! our kids would be without the 100's of toys they have now. Anyway I'll stop rambling now I think I've made my point.

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (AP) -- The parents of a Jacksonville toddler were horrified when their child swallowed part of a colorful toy bead set made in China and then passed out.
<!--startclickprintexclude--><!-- PURGE: /2007/US/11/08/toys.daterapedrug.ap/art.baby.ap.jpg --><!-- KEEP --><!----><!--===========IMAGE============-->http://i.l.cnn.net/cnn/2007/US/11/08/toys.daterapedrug.ap/art.baby.ap.jpg<!--===========/IMAGE===========--><!--===========CAPTION==========-->

Shelby Esses says she knew something was terribly wrong when her son began to stumble and started vomiting.<!--===========/CAPTION=========-->

He apparently was overcome when the coating on the beads metabolized into a chemical compound known as the "date rape drug."

"I thought he was going to die. I didn't want to tell my kids that, of course, but I thought he was going to die," said Shelby Esses, whose son Jack swallowed a handful of Spin Master Aqua Dots the day before Halloween. "It was horrible."

that is why you can send back the beads and get the safe ones, they are not taking out off permanintly just until the correct the problem. same as pollys, dora etc

What we need to setup is a page called Christmas Without China. List all the products that we know were made somewhere in north america...

My question about the little boy above would be..why was he playing with them in the first place and where was his mother? Whether they were deffective or not he was way too young to be near them and by himself

I am wondering the same thing. I noticed a couple of recalls were because of improper use. That seat for infants was recalled because parents were placing it on the table with babies in them despite the warning in the back. Maybe there should be a recall on parents:rofl:
