I am looking for a tutor for grade 6 math. I have posted in Services Wanted and tried the University. Haven't been successful yet. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Have you tried your child's school? Maybe a high school student?

Some times the teachers themselves will tutor as well. Or maybe the supply teachers. My fiancee was a supply teacher last year and tutored as well. He is in Nunavut this year, or that would have been a great option for you. maybe try the district office or the office at the school, they may know of some supply teachers who are interested in tutoring too.

What sort of math questions is your child having problems with? I am a supply teacher, but my specialty is middle and high school math, I'm not sure if I am able to help with basics. (ie if it were language arts, I can teach poetry and Shakespeare, but if you can't read, I can't help you). I used to do tutoring, both private and through the school board. I am just not familiar with the Gr 6 curriculum.
