If you download a lot of music, TV, or movies then it may not be for you. If you go over your download "cap" then they will throttle your connection for the rest of the bill period. That is a big beef a lot of my friends that have with the service.

Other than that, if you're just a regular user, it should be just as fine for billing and speed than anything else out there.

It suits my purpose just fine. I download some music, but no movies, TV or any other junk as I have no interest in this. I have no problems and find it very cost effective.

I use to have Rogers Hi Speed Extreme for many years, it was great with little downtime, has a little higher ping for gaming though, but once they brought out the download cap limit I switched to Aliant as they do not have one. I don't like limits on how much I'm allowed to download per month. I've had Aliant for over 2 years now. :)

I have rogers and it seems to work great. I have had no problems at all. I don't download movies though so I can't say about that but for music.....works great!

Why are you switching from Aliant? I've got their high speed extreme service. It's been pretty stable and speeds have been great. I can download a 780mb cd image (relax, it was a Linux distro) in about 20 minutes.

I had Aliant Hi-Speed just 2 months ago. Good speeds yes, but for less the price you can get 2Mbps more from Rogers.

I could download the same file in about 12-13 Minutes.

Totally true!! Why pay more when you don't have too?? Rogers customer service sucks but hey so does Aliant!

Bandwidth per month.

You get 60Gb for the low end and 90Gb for the high end.

Well unless you download 2Gb of information a day you won't come close.

If you can download 60Gb in a month with Ultra Lite.....you must have your PC downloading 24/7.

But yes they both have the 60Gb/Month. If you go over on any of their plans, it gets expensive.

We have had Rogers for years, and no problems.
