Did you get any advice on leaving it up all winter??? We were contemplating leaving ours up also. We have the 18' diameter one. But we took it down...not wanting the liner to freeze and crack. Was just wondering if you heard back from anyone who left there's up?
I was very dissapointed with the steel frame rusting on us, just after 2 summers! Alot of rust around the parts where you put the frame togeather on the top!

Hey y'all ; I just gone done researching this and they suggest that if you are in an area where it goes below 40F that you should not leave it up for the winter ! Just punch in intex swimming pools on your Yahoo browser and go to the second page for maintenance facts. It took awhile but you will find this same info ! Our winters are far below 40F so protect your investment.Hope this helps. - Rick.

It's recommended you put empty 2 litre bottles in the bottom of the pool. That way when it freezes the pressure is taken out on the bottles, instead of the side of the pool. Which could warp it..etc In the spring the bottles are all compressed and ready for the recycling depot.

The pool turns into a block a ice from all the snow and rain. This is what causes the damage, and the reason your using the empty bottles.

My father had a Steel frame pool for four summers. He emptied most of the water out and put about 10 empty 2 liters bottles in it, the water froze but it didn't push the side out. This year when he went to change the liner he found that it was rusted.Next year he's getting a new pool
