Anyone ever had a skin graft done? I am waiting for a surgery date to have surgery where the surgeons place a muscle from my body in a wound area and place a skin graft over it. I am wondering if anyone ever had anything like this done before and did it work? Also wondering how much pain was involved and how long it took to heal?

My uncle had a skin graft done years ago. it healed, there is a little scaring, but over all it still looks good.They took skin from his butt cheek, and used it on his hand.

That's amazing! They are going to take skin from my leg as well as a gracilis muscle from one of my legs. I'm really nervous but hoping it will work and heal properly!
