Question RE: Aliant and N-Gage cell phone

I've got the option of purchasing an unlocked N-Gage QD phone and a bunch of games for a reasonable price. I currently have a cell phone with Aliant that needs replacing so I thought this would be perfect (especially since I like the ngage anyway).

Does anyone know - can I use an unlocked N-Gage QD with Aliant?

Aliant does not use the GSM network. Telus does though.
