8week old Kitten; constantly crying in the night

Hey there,
I just got a new kitten today and now that its into the evening, he won't stop crying. I'm sure its because hes somewheres new and is still exploring...I just hope it stops soon. :(. Any thoughts? anything would be appreciated.

He misses the warmth and heartbeat of his mother and sibblings.
Try wrapping a hot water bottle in a soft towel and put in a box or crate with the kitten. You could also wrap up a small clock and put in with the kitten, the ticking of the clock or watch replaces the heartbeat.

We also used to put a stuffed animal (similiar colour to Mom) with an old clock behind to simulate the mom's heartbeat. We had many many puppies and kittens come through our home when I was just young...My mother worked in a pet store *shudder* and they always had animals that were sick ( KC) or too young, or just shouldn't be left in a closed store by themselves over the weekends.
