About Music For A Cure Saint John -
MFACSJ is an all day fundraiser concert held on the Boardwalk stage in Market Square in the heart of uptown Saint John during the last weekend in August. We are on our 2nd year of this annual event where local musicians fill the day with music from a variety of genre's and special guest headliners top the evening off. Last year's event raised 933$ in our fight against cancer with 50% of proceeds donated to the Canadian Cancer Society for research and the remaining 50% to Victoria's Quilts who are a non profit group of volunteers that hand make quilts for terminally ill cancer patients. Last year our event was headlined by Julian Austin with support from Corduroy Road, this year we have upped the bar adding up and coming country music sensation, 13 year old Makayla Lynn to support our soon to be announced headliner along with other ways to donate your money to our cause and some fun twists and turns along the way to make things really exciting for the weekend. Be sure to join us on Saturday August 30th for MFACSJ 2014!
