Could someone please suggest a reliable hard disk diagnostic tool :)
I believe I have a problem with one of my hard drives....

What brand is it.
Seagate has their own set of tools as does Western Digital.
Try the manufacturer's website first.

I believe the problem drive is a Samsung and their disk utility isn't the greatest...
Any other suggestions? :)

Partition Magic can do some basic tests. I believe Western Digital or Seagate's tools lets you scan other branded drives.
Worth a try.
GWSCAN is a generic hard drive diagnostic utility(will work on most ide drives).
