Hello All

Every once in a while you see someone selling a digital cable box if you buy one of these will rogers turn it on as a second unit and do you have to pay extra for it ?

Thanks
Bill

No extra charge. But Rogers may or may not activate the box. They do it case by case I believe.

Nice, so if you threaten to pull the plug on the whole thing they will give it to you........

Thanks for the Info

before you buy a digital box from someone, get the DCT number off of it, call rogers and they can check the dct number on it and see if it was bought outright or a rental, and with that info they can also tell if theres a balance owing on it, if there is then dont get it, if it was bought outright and no balance on it, then your good to go and that saves you the $3.99 a month digital box rental, hope that helps

Well if you have 30 TVs why not have 30 boxes.....

You can have more than one.

thought he meant internet box, i had got a box from someone who had bought it outright and left the province, they had no problem activating it for me.

Have rogers check the number also to ensure it is not stolen. Also if it is a rental, then it cannot be sold as it is roger's property. Rogers will hook connect it no problem, providing it was obtained legally.

I have 3 digital boxes hooked up, 1 is HD, I own the other 2, rent the HD.

I have the same thing. But only with the older boxes. I have a PVR that has to be registered.

The smaller boxes that lack a display are usually used for bedrooms or kitchens.
