I am thinking about going to Kittery ME and North Conway NH for some shopping. I am wondering where might be a good place to stay for the cheapest price. I was thinking a motel. Also, where do you prefer shopping, whether it be Kittery, Newport, Freeport, North Conway, Portland, etc.

I love shopping in Freeport (expecially LL Bean)...lots of outlets in Kittery and North Conway..they're not cheap but the stores are very interesting..and the scenery is great!

the rod in kittery is like 2 min drive to all the shopping,,,good free bk in the morning and its like 63 bucks a night,,,not a 4 star or anything but i compare it to the freddy inn .....

Depending on where & when you're going you should make reservations ASAP. Summertime there is ALWAYS full. I learned the hard way and actually had to spend a night in the car in a church parking lot in Portland! EVERYTHING was full from Kennabunk to Portland!
