****************Found out the problem, it is ringworm**********I just got a new kitten the house I got it from was very very dirty and appears that my kitten has very dry skin patches. I tired bathing it with baby shampoo and then putting baby oil on dry spots but she is starting to pull out the fur on those spots but she is in no pain and I cant get a vet appt until Jan 5/07. Is there something else I can do to help her?

Might be ringworm.. i'd watch out.. thats very contegeous!!!. I've never heard of a cat just having dry skin like that. There fur has a natural oil to it where it keeps the skin fairly moist. If there is dry spots like that its a health issue. If its mange or ringworm.. never the less. A new kitten that has dry spots like that should be vet checked.
Good luck;

Have you by any chance changed your cat's food? Could be an allergy.

NEVAEH, I would see about getting your kitten into another vet.

I noticed it the same day that I got her. She is in no pain and doesnt seem to scratch much or anything and she isnt really pulling out alot of fur just a few ones here and there. But it looks like dandruff. It shouldnt be anything to do with her food and she doesnt have ringworm. So ask the suggestions have been made ill take her to another vet. Thats for the input everyone!
