I'm looking for a good fishing spot in the Saint John area.
I would love to get out before the season is over. It can be a place close to a road or out in the middle of woods as I have a 4 wheeler.

Thank you in advance

My super-secret spot for trout is off of Long Wharf. Shhh, don't tell anybody...

I know of all kinds of good spots Dan. However the best fishing for trout is at the beginning of the season. If you want to just go out and catch something, the floating dock in Hampton is a great spot. Caught all kinds there... from perch, pickerel, to some real nice small mouth and even a 42 inch long sturgeon.

Well fishing season is finished today and managed to catch one trout that was a keeper :P
I hope I have better luck next year :)

Salmon season is still open and I hear the mackerel are still running, too. Someone was fishing for them at the Bayside wharf the other day anyway. Stripers at the Falls? Smelt start when the river freezes over. There're flounder near the salmon cages off Blacks Harbour if you have a boat. Lots of options still available.

Thanks for the suggestions GinNB. I usually stick to trout :P

I might try mackerel in the near future.
