Right at this moment the legal exchange rate is $.94 which is equal to 20.00 U.S. = $21.24 CAD. Now we just took a $20 U.S. bill to shoppers, and they only would give us $19.40 CAD....just another way to rip people off I guess...way to go...what else can they come up with...I'm sure we will all find out soon enough. I did call them, and was given the same old spiel all companies give..." The rate is set by corporate office and we can't change it until they tell us too"...bologna.

Remember when they take that to the bank, they get charged to cash it. Were I work, right now we are not even allowed to take US currency. By the time we take it to the bank, we don't get a dollar for a dollar. We loose 4 cents on every US dollar we take in.

If you need to cash US, the bank is the only place you will get a decent exchange. Even then you get charged an exchange fee. It's a percentage of what you are cashing. With a business, the percentage is higher.
