So my dryer runs but not heating up. I am being told it could be the element. So i went into A&A appliance repair and an element is $90 plus tax! Anyone know a cheaper place or is that the norm? I don't even know for sure if that is what is wrong with it!!

so i took the element off and it doesn't appear to be broken! Anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong?

There is probably a thermostat inside your dryer that is stuck open. You can usualy access anything like that through the back cover. Call daves appliance, up by Lilly Lake, they have helped me in the past. Last time I replaced one I believe it was under 30 dollars. If your dryer is working at all it wouldn't be a fuse.

There is a thermocoupler that goes when the dryer overheats. It is usually near the element. Before you put it back together make sure your exhaust hose is clear, this is what makes it overheat.

if you are on fuses check them one runs the dryer and one runs the heat
