On Sunday, 18 Oct. 2009 at 2pm, there will be a free walking tour of the Peel Plaza development site. The history and architectural significance of the neighbourhood will be shared. The buildings in the Peel Plaza area date from as early as 1838 and contain many significant heritage buildings. The tour will begin at the corner of Germain and Union Streets (in front of the Merritt Loyalist House) and take about 1.5 to 2 hours. The walk wil go rain or shine so come dressed for the weather.
